advocacy

For those in need.

Morris James is committed to providing pro bono legal counsel to indigent individuals and service to organizations seeking to increase resources to individuals who cannot afford legal representation.

Below are stories highlighting our pro bono advocacy.

Access to Justice Commission

The Access to Justice Commission was established by the Delaware Supreme Court to undertake the task of examining the justice system to identify any barriers to access to justice that may exist, and to develop recommendations designed to improve access to justice for the citizens of Delaware. Lewis Lazarus Co-Chairs the Access to Justice Commission.

Combined Campaign for Justice

The CCJ raises funds each year to provide operating support for Delaware’s three civil legal aid organizations: Community Legal Aid Society, Inc., Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, and Legal Services Corporation of Delaware. Morris James is an annual contributor and sponsor of the CCJ. The CCJ recognized Jill Di Sciullo in 2018 for exemplary fundraising efforts and in 2020 selected Eric Monzo and Rob Gibbs for leadership roles
