Paul H. Ostien, III is an associate in Morris James' transactions practice where he primarily practices in the following areas: Corporations and Other Business Organizations, and Financial Institutions and Commercial Transactions. Representative transactions include the following:

• Member of Morris James team representing trustees in various capacities in connection with a major air cargo carrier's unprecedented debt restructuring involving over $1 billion of Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates

• Represented affiliate of a Fortune 500 utility holding company in connection with its operation and maintenance of various electric cogeneration facilities

• Representing Delaware corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and statutory trusts in corporate and business transactions

• Representing trustees and trusts in corporate finance transactions, including securitizations, trust preferred securities, leveraged lease financings, collateral trusts, and other arrangements

• Member of drafting committee responsible for drafting the Delaware Revised Captive Insurance Company Act, 18 Del. C. Section 6901, et seq.

• Member of Morris James team that represented, on a pro bono basis, a child in a neglect/dependency proceeding in Delaware Family Court

Mr. Ostien received his B.S. in Mathematics from Dickinson College in 1993, his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 1999, and his L.L.M. in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law in 2000. Upon graduating from Dickinson College, Mr. Ostien served for three years as a lieutenant in the United States Army and for seven years as an officer in the United States Army Reserve.

Mr. Ostien is admitted to practice law in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a member of the American, Delaware and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
