Catherine Barron Read is an associate in the Transactional Group, where she practices in the areas of Corporations and Other Business Organizations and Financial Institutions and Commercial Transactions.

Ms. Read received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997, summa cum laude, from Seton Hall University and received her J.D. degree in 2000, magna cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law, where she was an Editor of Student Works of the Villanova Environmental Law Journal and awarded membership in the Order of the Coif. Ms. Read wrote "Passing the Operator Buck in United States v. Township of Brighton: Whether Pollution-Related or General Activities Create CERCLA Liability for a Governmental Entity," which was published in 1999 in the Villanova Environmental Law Journal.

Ms. Read is admitted to practice before the Delaware Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. She is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
