Real Estate Law

Since its founding in 1931, Morris James has been extensively involved in all aspects of Delaware real estate, from the development of the first suburban communities in the years following World War II, through the office and retail development boom of more recent years. Throughout this evolution, the Real Estate Practice Group has retained its original focus on the needs of its clients. The group's goal remains, as always, the providing of high-quality services for reasonable fees.

Morris James represents many of the major developers, investors and builders doing business in the Delaware real estate industry. Members of the Real Estate Practice Group advise lenders and borrowers in a full spectrum of financial transactions, from acquisition and construction financing to permanent financing, working capital, receivables, and other asset-based financings ancillary to real estate as well as conveyancing, leasing, zoning, subdivision, variance, and other land use matters.

Our Real Estate attorneys are active members of the Delaware Bar Association's Real and Personal Property Section and have drafted legislation, which has resulted in revisions to state and local law to better serve the needs of their clients.
