David J. Soldo

Overview

David J. Soldo is a trial attorney and focuses his practice on business contract disputes and defending personal injury claims. He represents both insured and self-insured companies in defending personal injury complex tort matters and wrongful death actions, including premises liability, motor vehicle, and products liability claims. He also represents companies in property damage and contract claims.

David received his BA from Ursinus College. He earned his JD cum laude from Widener University School of Law, where he also received a Certification in Specialized Legal Studies in Trial Advocacy and served as President of The Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society. He earned his LLM in Trial Advocacy with honors from Temple University.

David serves as an adjunct faculty member for both the LLM in Trial Advocacy Program at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and for NITA, The National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

Mr. Soldo currently serves as Chair of the Delaware Superior Court Rules Committee. He is a former Chair of the Delaware State Bar Association Litigation Section, and continues as an active member. He also served as a Chair of the Communications Committee for the Combined Campaign for Justice, which helps raise moneys to provide free legal services to low income individuals in Delaware. He is a member of the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court and the American Bar Association, Business Law Section and Litigation Section. 

He is certified as a Delaware Arbitrator for civil matters, including personal injury cases. In addition, he is certified as a Mediator by the Delaware Superior Court.

David previously was an associate with Northeast regional firm, where he litigated civil trial matters involving personal injury, automobile, construction, contract, and property damage claims.

Campbell v. Stonebridge Life Ins.
Defended insurer on claim for accidental death benefits, Summary Judgment was granted in favor of defendants and affirmed on appeal.

Adams-Baez ex rel. Adams v. General Acc. Co.
Defended insurer on claims for uninsured motorist coverage claim. Summary Judgment was granted in favor of the defendant on cross-motions for summary Judgment.

Personal Injury Claims

Defended elevator manufacturer in personal injury claim. Obtained dismissal of claims against defendant.

Defended companies in toxic tort claims for personal injuries. Summary Judgment was granted in favor of defendants.
