Last Updated June 22, 2020

At Morris James, we are committed to providing exceptional, uninterrupted client service while also protecting the health and safety of our staff, clients and visitors. Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our office operations during this time.

Are your office buildings open to the public?

Yes. All of our offices are now open by appointment only. To ensure we have a safe and healthy workplace, we have implemented the following precautionary measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • We will have face masks and hand sanitizer available for clients and visitors who need them
  • We have introduced rigorous cleaning procedures to prevent the spread of germs
  • We have implemented reasonable social distancing within the office, so that all staff are sitting six feet apart

Is your office open during normal business hours?

Yes. We are open during regular business hours by appointment only. Please click here to view our office locations and hours of operation.

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes. Our law firm remains fully functional and accessible during this time. We welcome all new clients, and questions from those who are searching for an attorney.

What is the best way to communicate with my lawyers?

You can continue to contact us as usual. All of our lawyers and their staff can be reached at their email address or via their office telephone number listed on our website

Can I have a meeting with my attorney during this time?

Morris James remains flexible in its ability to meet with clients. We have both in-person and virtual options for your consideration. Discuss these options as well as your preferences with your attorney.

Are courts of law still open in my area? Will my court dates be rescheduled?

We are keeping track of all court dates and deadlines to ensure that we will be able to make court filings and bring emergency proceedings as necessary. Our attorneys will keep you updated on all changes.

I need to deliver something to a lawyer, what is the process for that?

Please call your lawyer to discuss. We are encouraging everyone to communicate information electronically, but do have options available to our lawyers should the need arise for in-person deliveries or meetings. We also have access to couriers who can do pick ups and deliveries.
