Morris James is excited to announce the addition of Kathleen “Kitty” Dickerson, to the Employment Law and Education Law groups.
"We are excited to have Kitty join our team. She joins us with substantial experience from her time with the Delaware Department of Justice. She’s experienced, knowledgeable, and committed, which is a great benefit for our clients and our team,” says Jim McMackin, Chair of the Employment and Education practice.
Kitty’s practice includes representing management in labor and employment disputes, supporting Delaware schools in their legal needs, and aggressively advocating for the interests of firm clients. She joins Morris James with 19 years of experience at the Department of Justice, with her last post being the head of the special victim’s unit. There, she protected children- heading up the unit charged with investigating and prosecuting child death, felony child abuse, and sexual assault cases. In that position and prior, Kitty prosecuted the spectrum of crimes, including numerous homicides, drug cases, a landmark wiretap case, arsons, and white collar crimes She received her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law. She served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Elizabeth B. Lacy, Supreme Court of Virginia, and a law clerk to the Honorable E. Scott Bradley, Superior Court of the State of Delaware.
