Morris James is thrilled to welcome Danielle Sawyer as our newest Associate attorney in the firm's Tax, Estates, and Business Practice. Danielle will primarily focus on estate and tax planning, estate administration, and guardianship matters.
"Danielle brings a well-rounded background of both personal and professional experience to our downstate practice", noted Cindy Szabo, who is a Partner in the firm's Tax, Estates, and Business Practice. "Her tax and estate planning experience will be a great asset to our busy Sussex County practice, allowing us to provide sophisticated individualized estate services to more clients."
Prior to joining Morris James, Danielle was part of the Estate, Trusts and Elder Law department in a mid-size firm where she worked with clients to develop personalized estate plans (including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, corporate documents and deeds) to protect and preserve their assets and minimize federal estate and income taxes. Danielle began her legal career as a legal assistant/paralegal. She gained a wide range of experience in estate planning, estate and trust administration, real estate, and business law prior to becoming an attorney.
Danielle received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School where, as an evening division student, Danielle was President of the Moot Court Honor Society, a Transactional Law Honor Society member, and the Fall 2018 Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition winner. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware in 2012 and she earned her Paralegal Certificate in 2013 from the University of Delaware's Division of Professional and Continuing Studies.
Danielle is admitted to practice in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Congratulations and welcome to Morris James.
