Overview
Danielle's transparent legal approach provides our clients with a profound sense of security and hope about their futures. As part of the Tax, Estates and Business Practice, Danielle offers trusted legal guidance through a broad range of estate and tax planning, estate administration, and guardianship matters. She works primarily with individuals, families, and businesses, along with their accountants, financial advisors, and plan administrators, to ensure that each strategic plan is tailored specifically to the needs of our clients.
Prior to joining Morris James, Danielle was part of the Estate, Trusts and Elder Law department in a mid-size firm where she worked with clients to develop personalized estate plans (including trusts, wills, power of attorney, advance health care directives, corporate documents and deeds) to protect and preserve their assets and minimize federal estate and income taxes. Danielle began her legal career as a legal assistant/paralegal. She gained a wide range of experience in estate planning, estate and trust administration, real estate, and business law prior to becoming an attorney.
Danielle has a passion for helping others, especially those who have served in our nation’s armed forces. She has several family members and friends who have served and are currently serving our country across all of the service branches. This personal perspective drives Danielle to help our clients and their families with several complex legal concepts surrounding Veteran’s benefits.
Danielle received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School where, as an evening division student, she was President of the Moot Court Honor Society, a member of Transactional Law Honor Society, and winner of the Fall 2018 Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition. Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware in 2012 and she earned her Paralegal Certificate in 2013 from the University of Delaware's Division of Professional and Continuing Studies.
Outside of work, Danielle is the Public Relations Director for Why I Love Jesus, a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing personal faith stories worldwide. She also volunteers as a judge for interscholastic competitions for Widener University Delaware Law School.
