One year after launching its Corporate/M&A practice, Morris James is expanding the team to meet increasing client demand and build on the momentum of its early success. The firm's rapid growth in corporate transactional work reflects both market confidence and the strength of the M&A team's practical, business-focused approach.
Since establishing the practice, Morris James has advised on a range of complex mergers, acquisitions, and governance matters for clients across industries. The team's integrated approach and depth of Delaware law experience have quickly positioned the practice as a go-to resource for corporate clients navigating sophisticated transactions.
“From day one, our goal was to build a practice that delivers practical, efficient solutions backed by deep knowledge of Delaware corporate law and significant transactional experience,” said Vincent J. Cannizzaro III, who leads the practice. “The response from clients has been overwhelmingly positive. This expansion is a natural next step in continuing to serve their needs.”
Joining the Corporate/M&A team is Associate Aaron Mukoda, whose prior experience at Skadden and distinguished military service bring a strategic, mission-driven mindset to his transactional work. Aaron will work alongside Counsel Aarish Sheikh and Associate Justin Larsen, both of whom have played a key role in building the practice since its inception.
“Our clients trust us with complex, high-stakes matters because we know how to get deals done and keep things moving,” said Managing Partner Keith Donovan. “Expanding the Corporate/M&A group is part of a broader strategy to ensure we continue to deliver excellent service to our growing client base.”
The Morris James Corporate/M&A practice offers a full suite of services including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, alternative entities, and governance counseling. The team works closely with the firm’s other practice groups to offer clients sophisticated guidance throughout the business lifecycle.
“Aaron brings a level of discipline, insight, and experience that aligns seamlessly with the complex, high-value work we do in our group, he’s a rising talent with a unique perspective, and we’re excited to welcome him to the team.” Vincent J. Cannizzaro III
