Jeff Waxman Discusses Sale of Preference & Liens on Avoidance Actions at ABI's Mid-Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop

Bankruptcy Partner Jeff Waxman will be a featured presenter at the 2025 American Bankruptcy Institute's Mid-Atlantic Workshop on Tuesday, August 19th. Jeff will lend his unique insight to the panel discussion "Preferences – What's New?" Joining fellow industry luminaries, Jeff will examine recent developments in preference case law.

The panel will explore such nuanced and sophisticated topics as new value and ordinary course of business defenses, due diligence, evidence, as well as the sale of and liens on preference actions. The discussion will include comprehensive assessments of recent cases at the U.S. Supreme Court and preference actions in recent mass tort and crypto-driven bankruptcy proceedings.
