Dante's practice will focus on complex corporate and financial restructurings, as he represents private and public companies, business owners, investors, and other stakeholders in a broad range of bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, with a particular focus on complex Chapter 11 cases.
Before joining Morris James, Dante served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Delaware. As the primary Bankruptcy and Chancery Court practitioner for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, he negotiated and litigated Chapter 11, 13, and 15 cases while representing and collaborating with numerous federal departments and agencies.
Dante also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Mary F. Walrath of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. While earning his J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School, he was a judicial law extern for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and a judicial law intern for the Delaware Court of Common Pleas. He also completed the Myron T. Steele Fellowship with the Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance and the Honorable Thomas L. Ambro Fellowship at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
“Dante brings a valuable combination of restructuring experience and deep familiarity with Delaware’s courts,” said Eric J. Monzo, Chair of the Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice. “His work as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and his clerkship with the Delaware Bankruptcy Court give him a thoughtful, practical perspective that will strengthen our ability to serve clients navigating complex restructuring matters.”
Dante’s experience enhances Morris James’ ability to provide strategic, business-focused counsel to debtors, creditors, investors, and other stakeholders in complex restructuring and insolvency matters.
