Joe works with individuals and families facing divorce, custody, guardianship, support, and related proceedings in Delaware Family Court.

He understands that family matters are decided in a courtroom his clients seldom want or expect to enter. So, he works thoroughly to provide a clear picture of the legal process, the realistic range of outcomes, and the decisions they need to make.

Before joining Morris James, Joe served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Janell S. Ostroski of the Delaware Family Court, where he researched and drafted bench memoranda and orders in guardianship, termination of parental rights, custody, and ancillary matters, observing trials, case management conferences, and pretrial proceedings. That experience afforded him insight into how the Family Court evaluates evidence, weighs the best-interest factors, and manages its docket.

While pursuing his JD, Joe also externed for the Honorable Meghan A. Adams of the Delaware Superior Court and interned with the Child Protection Unit of the Delaware Department of Justice. He graduated cum laude from Widener University Delaware Law School, serving as a Student and Law Clerk Member of the Melson-Arsht American Inn of Court.
