News & Media Mentions

October 30, 2020

At Morris James, we are committed to providing pro bono representation to individuals and organizations in our community. We believe that pro bono service is an important part of a lawyers' professional responsibility. Our commitment to pro bono is a firm-wide initiative and we encourage all of our lawyers to give back where they can.

In honor of the National Celebration of Pro Bono, led by the American Bar Association, we are recognizing a few of our pro bono attorneys and the important work that they do throughout the Delaware community.

Jill Spevack Di Sciullo serves as the Pro Bono Coordinator at Morris James. She actively represents pro bono clients in family law and domestic relations matters. As a member of the Board of Directors for Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, an organization that serves indigent residents in Delaware by providing quality, pro bono legal services, Jill has dedicated herself to ensuring that all members of our community have access to quality legal representation.

Lewis H. Lazarus serves as a pro bono attorney with the Office of the Child Advocate (OCA), a state agency charged with safeguarding the welfare of Delaware's children. Lewis has been working as a pro bono attorney with OCA since 2004, and has had the privilege of providing legal representation on behalf of Delaware’s dependent, neglected, and abused children, some of whom he is still in contact with today.

Wilson A. Gualpa serves as a pro bono attorney with Delaware Volunteer Legal Services. He assists pro bono clients in an array of domestic violence matters. As a result of his service as a pro bono attorney, Wilson was awarded the prestigious Christopher W. White Distinguished Access to Justice Achievement Award, which is given to an attorney who has shown an exemplary contribution to pro bono service and stands as a role model to other attorneys.

Kuhu Parasrampuria represents pro bono clients in landlord-tenant disputes. She provides legal representation for individuals who would not have been able afford legal services on their own. As an associate in the Corporate and Commercial Litigation Group at Morris James, serving as a pro bono attorney has provided her with opportunities that she would not have had otherwise.
