Since its founding in 1988, EDPABC has brought together attorneys, financial professionals, and paraprofessionals across the ten counties of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The organization promotes best practices and provides educational programming for practitioners navigating bankruptcy law and creditors' rights. As Chair, Brya plays a key role in leading these efforts, ensuring that professionals in the field stay informed and engaged.
At Morris James, Brya co-chairs the firm’s bankruptcy & restructuring practice, where she helps businesses, creditors, and financial institutions navigate complex restructuring, insolvency, and litigation challenges. She has extensive experience representing Chapter 11 debtors, creditors’ committees, insurers, trade creditors, financial institutions, and asset purchasers. Brya also advises clients on avoidance actions, including preference and fraudulent transfer claims.
Her leadership within the EDPABC reflects her deep commitment to the bankruptcy community and her reputation as a trusted advisor in the field.
"I’m honored to continue leading the EDPABC, which brings together top professionals to share insights, tackle emerging challenges, and strengthen the bankruptcy community. This work is essential to helping businesses and creditors navigate complex financial restructurings."
