Jennifer R. Lucas-Ross Serves as Co-Chair of New NALP Group for Small & Mid-Sized Firms

Lucas-Rosshas been appointed by the National Association of Law Placement as co-chair of the newly established Small & Mid-Sized Law Firm Interest Group for the 2025–2026 term. The group brings together NALP members from smaller firm environments to build a community, share best practices, and stay current on trends shaping the legal profession.
In this volunteer leadership role, Jennifer is responsible for fostering engagement, encouraging knowledge exchange, and providing insights to NALP's board on behalf of small and mid-sized firms nationwide.
Over the past year, Jennifer and fellow co-chair Sheryl Roberts worked closely with NALP leadership to advocate for a forum specifically designed for professionals working in these law firm settings. Their efforts were formally recognized, and both were nominated and appointed as co-chairs.
NALP is a national association of more than 3,000 legal career professionals who support law students, lawyers, law schools, and law offices. The Small & Mid-Sized Law Firm Interest Group officially launched during the 2025 NALP Annual Education Conference (AEC), held April 8–11 in Cleveland, Ohio. There, legal recruiting, professional development, and DEI professionals from across the country come together to exchange ideas and prepare for the future of legal talent. Jennifer and Sheryl helped lead the group's kick-off meeting, introducing its mission, vision, and goals to a highly engaged community of new members.
