Bankruptcy Partner Tara Pakrouh will co-moderate at the ALFA International 2025 International Client Seminar on March 7, delivering key insights on how creditors can proactively protect their interests before and after a customer files for bankruptcy.
Her session, "For the Love of Money: Proactive Steps to Protect Yourself Before and After a Customer Files for Bankruptcy," explores the full spectrum of creditor options, from out-of-court resolutions to bankruptcy litigation. She will discuss critical issues, including defending against preference and fraudulent transfer claims, maximizing recoveries through committee participation, and leveraging state law alternatives such as Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors (ABCs) and state receiverships.
Tara’s session provides practical, actionable guidance on navigating bankruptcy complexities, with a focus on mitigating risk, leveraging creditor rights, and optimizing financial recoveries. She is co-moderating with Iana Vladimirova from Stafford Rosenbaum a panel with Ronald Matley, Director of Credit Services at Sunbelt Rentals, and Ron Peppe, VP and General Counsel at Fabsouth.
