Morris James is pleased to announce that Katelyn M. Crawford, “Kate”, has joined the firm as an associate in our Real Estate practice. With seven years of legal experience, Kate represents real estate buyers, sellers, investors, builders and developers in all aspects of real estate transactions, and is a Delaware licensed title agent. Her strategic legal guidance on property sales, acquisitions, and financing is complemented by land use representation including variances, easements, purchase agreements, lot consolidation and subdivisions.
In addition to her real estate practice, Kate assists clients with customizing estate plans, placing real property into trusts, and helping clients navigate ancillary probate and estate administration. Her experience also extends to litigation matters, including corporate and commercial disputes, contested estate matters, land partition matters, and representing Chapter 11 debtors in bankruptcy.
"Katelyn’s depth of experience and meticulous approach to real estate law make her an invaluable addition to our team," said Kim Hoffman, Chair of the real estate practice. “Her ability to provide clear, results-driven counsel in an evolving market will greatly benefit our clients, and we are excited to welcome her to Morris James.”
Kate earned her JD, magna cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School, a top-ten graduate of her class. She served as External Managing Editor of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law and Internal Manager for the Transactional Honor Society.
