Katelyn Crawford

In her real estate practice, Kate represents buyers, sellers, investors, builders, and developers in residential and commercial real estate transactions. She is a Delaware licensed title agent and provides strategic guidance on property sales, acquisitions, financing, leasing and land use matters, including variances, easements, purchase agreements, lot consolidations, and subdivisions.

Kate also advises individuals and families on customizing estate plans, administrating trusts, and navigating probate matters. She regularly assists clients with strategic trust planning including the transfer of real property into trusts, and guiding fiduciaries through estate administration matters with attentive, client-focused counsel.

Her experience in these dual fields provides her clients with a unique perspective on dealing with complicated real estate and estate matters.

Before joining Morris James, Kate practiced at another Delaware-based real estate and estate planning law firm and an Am Law 100 firm handling commercial litigation matters. Kate’s prior commercial litigation experience informs her practice approach to resolving complex client issues.

Kate earned her J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School as a top-ten graduate in her class. She served as External Managing Editor of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law and Internal Manager for the Transactional Honor Society. Kate is an active member of the Delaware State Bar Association and has been recognized as Delaware Top Lawyer for her diligent work and legal representation.
