Morris James is pleased to announce the addition of Samantha Rodriguez as an Associate in the firm's prestigious Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice. Sam will support teams representing creditors’ committees, individual creditors, plan administrators, liquidating trustees, and other interested parties in complex Chapter 11 cases and related adversarial proceedings.

Prior to joining Morris James, Sam served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Mark S. Coven of the Quincy District Court in Massachusetts. From revising and drafting amendments for corporate contracts and agreements, to negotiating and securing residential and commercial real estate rights, she handles sophisticated areas of law outside the courtroom while streamlining their practical application.

Sam earned her JD from Northeastern University School of Law in 2024, and her BA from Colgate University in 2021. During her time in law school, Sam served as associate editor of the Northeastern University Law Review, co-chair of the Business Law Society, student attorney for the Community Business Clinic and an active member of both the Latin American Law Students Association and Cooperative Income Sharing Program. Prior to law school, Sam graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colgate University in 2021, volunteering for the Upstate Institute Consumer Bankruptcy Law Project during her academic tenure.

Sam’s diverse legal experience and analytical rigor enhance our ability to deliver practical, cost-effective strategies to clients navigating the complexities of corporate bankruptcy and restructuring.
