Morris James LLP’s “Family and Friends Team” took first place among 42 corporate teams as the top fundraiser during the “Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes” event held on September 29th, in Bellevue State Park, Wilmington, Delaware.
The Walk is the American Diabetes Association’s signature fundraising event. Taking place annually for 20 years, the event has raised more than $150,000,000 for diabetes research and education. Morris James, the Lead/Barn Sponsor of the event, raised a total of $2,783, exceeding its goal by several hundred dollars.
Attorney Kimberly Hoffman, Morris James’ Team Captain, stated, “Our firm has been involved with the American Diabetes Association for many years, and we are proud to participate in this truly inspirational event. Over 26 million people in the United States have diabetes. Many of us know someone who is affected, and this is our way of doing something about it.”
