David J. Soldo is a trial attorney at Morris James LLP, in Wilmington, Delaware. He focuses his practice on business contract disputes and defending complex tort matters and wrongful death actions. He represents both insured and self-insured companies in defending personal injury matters, including premises liability, transportation/trucking, and products liability claims. He also represents companies in property damage and contract claims.
Mr. Soldo received his B.A. from Ursinus College. He earned his J.D. cum laude from Widener University School of Law, where he also received a Certification in Specialized Legal Studies in Trial Advocacy and served as President of The Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society. He earned his L.L.M. in Trial Advocacy with honors from Temple University.
Mr. Soldo serves as an adjunct faculty member for both the L.L.M. in Trial Advocacy Program at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and for NITA, The National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Soldo currently serves as Chair of the Delaware Superior Court Rules Committee. He is a former Chair of the Delaware State Bar Association Litigation Section, and continues as an active member. He also served as a Chair of the Communications Committee for the Combined Campaign for Justice, which helps raise moneys to provide free legal services to low income individuals in Delaware. He is a member of the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court and the American Bar Association, Business Law Section and Litigation Section. He was named one of SuperLawyers’ Delaware Rising Stars® in 2012 and a "Top Lawyer" by Delaware Today Magazine in 2014 and 2015.
He is certified as a Delaware Arbitrator for civil matters, including personal injury cases. In addition, he is certified as a Mediator by the Delaware Superior Court.
