Delaware Federally Qualified Health Centers are Recognized by the 151st Delaware General Assembly

On April 14th, 2022 Delaware’s House of Representatives recognized all three of Delaware’s Federally Qualified Health Centers via a House Concurrent Resolution presented by Representative Melissa Minor-Brown and Senator Sarah McBride. This resolution reaffirms values the State and FQHC’s share: every individual deserves quality, affordable, culturally respectful care, as well as their commitment to reducing racial health disparities. Lolita Lopez, CEO and President of Westside Family Healthcare, Brian Olsen, CEO of La Red Health Center, Shay Scott, CEO and  Dr. Yvette Gbemudu, Chief Medical Officer and Family Physician at Henrietta Johnson Medical Center were on hand at the General Assembly to receive recognition on behalf of their organizations.

All three centers are members of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Community Health Centers (MACHC). Morris James is proud to represent MACHC and honored to work with its members in addressing Delaware’s public health challenges. Serving more than 41,000 Delawareans in 16 locations, MACHC’s members create access to integrated medical services for the State’s medically underserved population by providing primary care, behavioral health, and oral care.
