Morris James was pleased to sponsor the second annual SL24 Memorial Classic "UnLocke The Light," in honor of Sean Locke on Saturday, February 8, 2020
Sean Locke struggled with anxiety and depression. In July 2018, at the age of 23, he took his own life. Sean's father, Chris Locke, created a foundation in honor of his son to help others battling with depression and suicidal thoughts. During the last year, the SL24 Foundation has helped over 3,500 students experiencing depression to "UnLocke the Light" by providing them with support and access to mental health services.
The funds raised from the event will be used to educate and help those battling with anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. It will also help fund "Sean's House," where hundreds of students will have access to professional help and be able to speak to their peers about their struggles with depression and the threat of suicide.
