Legal Marketing Coordinator

A premiere law firm in Delaware has an opening for a full-time Marketing Coordinator in their Wilmington office. The Marketing coordinator works closely with the Marketing Director to support the marketing and business development efforts of the firm’s eight offices and multiple practice groups. This position will handle the day-to-day tasks of the marketing department as well as assigned projects and coordinating all activities and deadlines associated with the project.The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, highly organized person with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar field. A foundation in project management, marketing, and business development is essential, as are excellent writing and communication skills. Interest or familiarity with online marketing and technology a plus. Previous legal marketing or professional service firm experience a plus.  Salary commensurate with experience.

Specific requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Graphic design experience and familiarly with InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent writing and proof-reading skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to think broadly and demonstrate a high level of initiative
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and facilitate teamwork
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary and travel
  • Familiarity with online marketing tools for website governance, email blasts, competitive intelligence, public relations, google analytics, etc.
  • Some travel and a need for flexibility to work night and weekends for projects and events

Responsibilities include:

  • Day-to day tasks of the marketing department
  • Coordinate regular updates to website and blogs
  • Scheduling and maintenance of social media
  • Assist with customized pitches and business development presentations
  • Create, update and maintain firm databases
  • Production, editing and dissemination of announcements, updates and other client communications
  • Review, update and maintain firm lists
  • Coordinating client events, including budgeting and tracking associated costs and orders
  • Creating and sending invitations
  • Managing advertising contracts and submissions
  • Creating presentation materials, brochures and handouts
  • Planning and executing community events to increase firm’s local presence
  • Travel and overnight stays
  • Planning and executing networking events for firm lawyers
  • Coordinating profile and directory submissions for publications
  • Coordinating all sponsorships including agreements, invoicing, and collateral material provision
  • Assist with memberships and community involvement activities, and other strategic business development and promotional initiatives as needed
  • Develop/write content for firm website, blog posts and press releases
  • Create and distribute internal firm newsletter
  • Purchasing, billing and tracking supplies
  • Oversight of development and inventory of brochures, reprints, and other collateral
  • Scheduling and submission of articles
  • Coordinate and oversee contracts and submissions for ad buys
  • Other duties as assigned

Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Morris James LLP, a Delaware law firm with 72 attorneys, seeks an experienced legal assistant/paralegal to join its Georgetown office located at 9 North Front Street. Applicant should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience & must be a detail-oriented self-starter who can support two busy partners whose practice primarily focuses in estate planning & estate administration, and business & transactional law. The hours for this full-time position are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm or 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Provide clerical support (includes answering telephone calls and assisting with response to emails, generating correspondence and legal documents, editing, proof-reading, printing, scanning, and filing documents.
  • Prepare and draft appropriate legal documents with attorney oversight.
  • Assist with preparation of correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.
  • Assist with estate probate from opening to close.
  • Prepare necessary documents to include petitions, releases, affidavits, etc.
  • Schedule/calendar appointments and reservation.
  • Open and close files.
  • Submit expense forms to accounting department in a timely manner.
  • Maintain positive contact with clients, attorneys, and colleagues.
  • Meet with clients and manage all client files with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Respond to client phone calls and emails.
  • Adhere to all time critical case milestones and due dates.


SKILLS:

  • Strong customer-service-oriented approach and positive attitude.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and good judgement to work independently as appropriate and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a diverse group of clients & professionals in person, by email, and telephone to provide information with tact and diplomacy.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous projects/tasks simultaneously and complete them to meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a legal assistant/paralegal.
  • Must be computer literate with strong working knowledge of MS Word 2016, Excel 2016, and Outlook 2016 & possess strong typing skills.
  • Familiarity with File Site, a document management system is helpful.
