Patricia A. Winston Appointed to New Castle County, Delaware Judiciary

Patricia A. WinstonMorris James is proud to announce that Patricia A. Winston has been confirmed to serve as a Judge of the Superior Court of Delaware. The confirmation follows Governor Carney’s nomination on April 8th.

She has a wealth of knowledge, and the citizens of Delaware will surely benefit from her addition to the courts.”

Patricia will remain a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Litigation Practice until June 1st, where she focuses her practice in the areas of business litigation, alternative entities, corporate and fiduciary litigation, corporate governance, special committee representation, and insurance coverage litigation.

Patricia began her legal career at Morris James in 2008 as an associate and was elected to Partner in 2017.  A University of Delaware graduate, she graduated from the Widener University School of Law in 2008. In addition to her busy legal practice, Patricia is the past Chair of the Delaware State Bar Association’s (DSBA) largest section, the Litigation Section, and has held various offices in the DSBA’s Multicultural Judges and Lawyers’ Section. Patricia serves on the Executive Committee of the National Bar Association's Commercial Law Section. For the past three years, Patricia has been recognized as a Delaware Today Top Lawyer in Corporate Law and was recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in Delaware Corporate Law for the last two years.
