Morris James is pleased to announce the addition of Alena Smith and Aubrey Morin as attorneys to the Corporate and Commercial Litigation Practice Group.  

“Alena and Aubrey joined us in the last quarter of 2022. We are already pleased with the work they are doing and await with great anticipation what is to come,” says Albert H. Manwaring IV, Chair of the Corporate and Commercial Ligation Practice group. “They both bring considerable knowledge and experience about the Delaware Courts that will aid our team to continue to get results for our clients.”

Alena concentrates her practice on business litigation, Court of Chancery litigation, and commercial disputes. She joins with experience at a well-respected Delaware law firm where she handled matters involving corporate governance, fiduciary duties, proxy contests, class actions and derivative suits, and other commercial disputes. She obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. Upon graduation she began her law career clerking for Superior Court Resident Judge William L. Witham Jr. In addition to her practice, she possesses an M.B.A degree from the Villanova University Business School.

Aubrey focuses his practice on counseling and litigation involving corporations and other business entities formed under Delaware law. His prior experience includes as a corporate and business litigation attorney at a highly regarded Amlaw 200 firm and, prior to that, at a well-respected Delaware law firm, representing clients in a wide range of matters including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and business tort claims,  as well as in disputes arising under Delaware’s business entity statutes. He received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law, JD in 2018. During law school, he worked as an extern in the Delaware Court of Chancery to the Honorable Joseph R. Slights, III.
