Morris James proudly announces that Reneta L. Green-Streett has been confirmed to serve as a Judge on the Superior Court of Delaware in Kent County. The confirmation follows Governor John Carney's nomination on April 9. Reneta will become the first Black woman to serve as a Superior Court judge in Kent County, Delaware.

Reneta remains a partner at Morris James until May 7, where she focuses on representing plaintiffs in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. Reneta has over 10 years of experience litigating personal injury, premises liability, and property damage matters in the Delaware courts of law. Her extensive litigation experience enables Reneta to offer her clients insightful and practical advice throughout the life of their case. Prior to joining Morris James, Reneta represented insurance companies and insureds in litigation in Delaware.
Reneta began her career as a Judicial Law Clerk to The Honorable Robert B. Young of the Superior Court of Delaware, Kent County. She earned her JD in 2009 from William & Mary School of Law and her BA in 2003 from College of William & Mary, graduating magna cum laude. Reneta is an active alumnae member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., an organization of college-educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service. For the past three years, Reneta has been recognized as a Delaware Today Top Lawyer in personal injury and insurance law. The 2021 edition of The Best Lawyers in America recognized Reneta as “One to Watch” for her outstanding professional excellence in personal injury litigation – plaintiffs.
