Jeffrey R. Waxman, a partner in the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group of Morris James, has been elected Chair of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association. His one year term began July 1, 2019.
The Bankruptcy Law Section is comprised of attorneys, judges and others who practice in the area of bankruptcy law, both business and consumer. The section promotes the professional development and interests of its members and to provide a common meeting ground for attorneys who practice bankruptcy law.
The nearly century old history of the Delaware State Bar Association is marked by evolving efforts to promote ethical conduct by lawyers, to require and offer high quality continuing legal education, to protect the public from the unauthorized practice of law, to review and make recommendations regarding Delaware’s court system and to foster the mentoring of new lawyers.
